Harwell WI

Join us

There has been a thriving WI in Harwell since 1921. It is as relevant today as it was when it was launched, because we are moving with the times.

20 May 2011 was our 90th Anniversary. Our Celebration of 90 years of Harwell WI was a tour of Ardington House with tea in the garden and an exhibition of the history of Harwell WI.

At the time of writing we have 64 members of all ages and backgrounds.

Our programme is wide and varied and deals with fun and serious issues.

Membership: costs £31.50 and for that members get:

  • Membership of Harwell WI with a year's programme of events bursting with ideas
  • access to county and national federation activities
  • Eight issues a year of the WI membership magazine  WI Life
  • The chance to attend a wide range of courses at Denman College, the WI residential centre at Marcham- visit www.theWI.org.uk/college online to book your place, or see the course guide
  • Having your voice heard: making a real impact on local, national and international issues
  • The opportunity to learn, develop and pass on new skills
  • Belonging to something special: making friends, working as a team, having fun
  • Chance to support the local community
